Les portes n'étaient pas encore ouvertes,

le sol était jonché de feuilles mortes

et la pièce remplie de fumée,

le téléphone se mit à sonner.

Il ne restait que peu de gens dans la ville

- une ville à voir au printemps

avec son pont du XIIIe où était écrit :

"une pierre meurtrière a puni David"

et : "Shakespeare est né en 1564

mais où est-il né? Dans le passif!" -.

et il ne me restait que 5 shillings.

On ne m'a pas encore attrapé;

plus facile à dire qu'à faire.

On le mange en Entrée ou en Dessert,

le melon, mais pas en Angleterre!
